Abstract

This article presents a concise historical account of the first sixty years of Loyola School of Theology, as drawn from its recently approved Statutes. It traces the institution’s origins, development, and growth within the context of ecclesial, academic, and socio-cultural changes in the Philippines and the wider Asian region. The narrative highlights LST’s evolving mission in theological education, its commitment to forming ministers and scholars for the Church, and its responsiveness to the calls of the Second Vatican Council and subsequent ecclesial developments.
