Abstract
This paper critically re-examines Karl Rahner’s grundaxiom on the unity of the economic and immanent Trinity. It affirms Rahner’s effort to restore Trinitarian theology to the center of Christian life by grounding doctrine in salvation history. However, it questions the full identification of the two dimensions, engaging contemporary theological critiques to offer a more nuanced interpretation. The study ultimately argues for a balanced approach that preserves both divine self-revelation in history and the transcendent mystery of God.
