Abstract
This paper explores the theology of history as articulated by the great Franciscan theologian who presents a unique and compelling vision where history is seen as a journey guided by divine providence, culminating in the fulfillment of God's plan for creation. The author’s reflection is enriched by her own personal experiences, particularly of her friendship with Lucia, whom she met while working as a missionary in Brazil. Reflecting on the rich drama of expressio and impressio, or God’s revelation and human reception, she emphasizes humility as the essential condition or disposition to properly receive revelation.
