Abstract

This article develops a theology of migration grounded in the lived experiences of Vietnamese labor migrant workers in Taiwan. It examines structural injustices such as exploitative recruitment systems, social discrimination and restrictive labor policies, while engaging biblical narratives and Catholic social teaching. By interpreting migration through themes of sojourning, hospitality, and Deus Migrator, the study highlights migrants as bearers of dignity and blessing. It calls for a transformative “culture of encounter” that promotes justice, solidarity, and compassionate inclusion within Church and society.
