Abstract
This article examines catechetical formation for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) volunteers, grounded in Pope Francis’ teachings on accompaniment, inclusivity, and dialogue. Focusing on the National Bilibid Prisons in the Philippines, it proposes contextualized adult catechetical modules using a kerygmatic-mystagogical- synodality framework. The study highlights the prison as a faith community and emphasizes transformative formation that fosters encounter with Christ, spiritual growth, and missionary discipleship, enabling PDL volunteers to live out Christian values meaningfully within the prison context.
