Abstract
This paper reinterprets Christian martyrdom through the theological framework of Hans Urs von Balthasar. It presents martyrdom not only as a physical act of dying for the faith but as a daily, lived participation in Christ’s self-giving love. Integrating Trinitarian, Christological, and pneumatological perspectives, the study emphasizes martyrdom as an expression of obedience and communion with God. This broader understanding offers a practical spirituality of faithful witness grounded in the Paschal mystery.
