Abstract
This article examines the dynamic relationship between divine initiative and humanresponse as articulated in the Jesuit Constitutions. It argues that the Ignatian emphasis on the primacy of grace, alongside the cultivation of interior freedom, constitutes a foundational principle of Christian spirituality. Through an analysis of key elements such as the general examen, formation processes, admission into the Society, personal Jesuit life, collaboration in mission, and leadership ideals, this paper demonstrates how “cooperative grace” is concretely embodied. Ultimately, it presents a vision of Jesuits as humble yet empowered instruments through whom God’s grace is made manifest.
