Abstract

This paper examines how Catholic families in Asia can live the Eucharist as a “domestic Church of the Poor,” drawing on the pastoral vision of the Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conferences, particularly the documents of its Ninth and Eleventh Plenary Assemblies. It interprets the major parts of the Mass—Introductory Rites, Liturgy of the Word, Eucharistic Prayer, and Rite of Communion—through the lived realities of Asian families. By linking liturgical celebration with daily life, the study highlights how families can embody communion, mercy, justice, and mission. It proposes that Eucharistic spirituality can renew family relationships and inspire solidarity with the poor, enabling families to become missionary witnesses within Asian societies.
