Abstract
Excerpt: Since the foundation of The Mondrian Fan Club (MFC) in New York City in 1992—an homage to the Dutch modernist artist Piet Mondrian as well as a critical engagement with his life and art— its founders David Medalla (b. 1942, Philippines/UK) and Adam Nankervis (b. 1973, Australia/Germany) have organized impromptu performances, participated in important exhibitions, such as the Venice Biennale (2015 and 2017), and produced ephemeral works.
