Abstract

Excerpt: The exhibition Patani Semasa: An Exhibition on Contemporary Art from the Golden Peninsula was held at the ILHAM Gallery in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from March 25 to July 15. The first incarnation of this exhibition was presented at the MAIIAM Contemporary Art Museum in Chiang Mai, Thailand, from July 19, 2017, to February 14, 2018. The exhibition featured artworks from 28 artists either from the Patani region in southern Thailand or those who were artistically inspired by the history and culture of that area.
