Abstract
Excerpt: The exhibition Between Worlds: Raden Saleh and Juan Luna was held at the National Gallery of Singapore from November 16, 2017, to March 11, 2018. On display were over 100 artworks from the two artists, brought together for the very first time, and also likely the most comprehensive ever displayed for each artist.1 In both breadth and depth, the scale of the exhibition was a momentous one. Some artworks had never been shown outside of their home countries, and some had never been formally exhibited prior to the show in Singapore.
