Abstract
Excerpt: The third concert of the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO) in this season’s series entitled Timeless Classics, New Beginnings was quite well attended, considering that the Vienna Boys’ Choir was scheduled at the same time elsewhere. Those in attendance were treated to a showcase of musical works, nearly all from nineteenth- and twentieth-century Spanish composers, under the baton of PPO music director and principal conductor Yoshikazu Fukumura and featuring Uruguayan guitarist Eduardo Fernández.
