Abstract
Excerpt: The Ateneo Art Gallery is fifty-seven years old. When it was founded in 1960, it was located in a room on the ground floor of Bellarmine Hall on the Loyola Heights campus of the Ateneo de Manila University. In 1967, the gallery was moved to the then newly erected Rizal Library, where it has remained in the last fifty years, first on the ground floor and since 2010 on the second level. Later this year, 2017, the Ateneo Art Gallery moves to Arete, a building for the arts and innovation, which will afford more space for it to display its collection.
