Abstract
Excerpt: My most vivid memory of the first run of the concert “Under the Olive Tree” by the Aleron Choir, held last May 28, on the second floor of Merchant Space at Glorietta 5, Makati, was that of sitting inside a section of a mall that was under construction. The water sprinklers were exposed in a room with no ceiling, whose walls were unsmoothed and unpainted, where dust flew freely in the air, soiling the white monobloc chairs and the rough untiled floor. Providing visibility were spotlights rented for the occasion, which made the barely ventilated room even hotter.
