Abstract
Excerpt: Adaptations of Pierre Choderlos de Laclos’s epistolary novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses (1782) abound, from those set in eighteenth-century Joseon dynasty in Korea to a private school in 1990s New York, perhaps attesting to the flexibility of the original material and the universal, timeless appeal of its ideas. Juego de Peligro is a Filipino adaptation of Christopher Hampton’s stage adaptation of the novel.
