Abstract

Excerpt: “Provocative” is the word that could describe the cover photo of the first volume of Floy Quintos’s Collected Plays. It is taken from Laro, a play about ten young urban gays in Manila. Though it is certainly eye-catching, a sexually explicit visual is not needed to sell the book. Its contents are what will matter most to the readers, who need not be limited to thespians or academics.
