Abstract
Excerpt: Kenneth Quek is the festival director of the AFCC and the deputy director of the National Book Development Council of Singapore. Trained as an architect, Kenneth worked in his family’s antiques business for ten years before he started working with the Singapore Book Council. He is a strong advocate of Asian content in children’s literature and young adult (YA) fiction and is an avid bibliophile. He also serves as the regional advisor of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) in Singapore.
