Abstract
Excerpt: Luis Francia has always been an explorer. His collections show him treading different paths. In The Beauty of Ghosts, Francia gives voice to fellow travelers—an alter ego, a comfort woman, a manong, a Filipino worker, and a teenager—each caught in the transit between memory and reality. This chorus of voices converges to remind all: “anak, apo, kapatid, Ina, Ama / Hoy! We forget you not!”(46).
