Abstract

In a world that dances between globalization to deglobalization, artificial Intelligence (AI) has redefined the way tasks are accomplished and how organizations function. Studies have highlighted the benefits of AI, yet its utilization continues to present challenges that hinder its full implementation. In public offices the use of AI has been uneven and is influenced by factors that deter the organizations’ opportunity to optimize its benefits. These challenges include the capacity of its users to adapt to the technology, its impact on service delivery and transparency, and leadership initiative and commitment to sustaining AI utilization in public offices. The escalation of AI utilization in public offices warrants a leadership that can navigate this technological revolution and optimize its advantages in serving especially the common good. Beyond technical skills and adaptability, the capacity to engage stakeholders and to underscore the benefits to public service are deemed essential to the successful implementation of AI utilization in public offices.
