Abstract
Three models of crisis and hope are examined as representative paradigms of solutions to crisis in the Bible: the divine wrath and reconciliation model, the God of history model, and the prayer model. The elements of ritual, the role of God, and prayer are all necessary dimensions that allow hope to resolve crisis situations.
