Aims & Scope
While firmly grounded in the experiences, questions, and theological developments of Asia, Landas adopts a genuinely global outlook. The journal situates Asian theological reflection within the wider life of the universal Church, fostering dialogue with theological traditions, cultures, and contexts from all continents. In doing so, it places Asian voices in conversation with the global theological community and with civil society, while welcoming contributions from scholars worldwide whose work engages the life of faith in diverse cultural, social, and ecclesial settings.
In light of this vision, Landas aims to:
- Promote high-quality research in theology and related disciplines that is intellectually rigorous, pastorally relevant, and attentive to the signs of the times;
- Foster dialogue between faith and contemporary cultures, religions, and social realities in Asia and beyond;
- Contribute to the formation of scholars, pastors, and ministers committed to the mission of the Church.
Landas welcomes original, unpublished contributions in the following areas:
- Biblical theology and exegesis;
- Systematic theology and liturgy;
- Moral theology and social ethics;
- Spirituality and pastoral counseling;
- Pastoral theology and religious education;
- Missiology and evangelization;
- Interreligious and intercultural dialogue;
- Theology and the social sciences;
- Asian and Filipino contextual theologies.
