Abstract
Rooted in Vatican II and recent Jesuit General Congregations, this article explores the Ignatian mysticism of reconciliation as a response to three contemporary crises: the loss of a sense of God, human dignity, and the holiness of creation. Drawing on former Superior General Fr. Adolfo Nicolás’s insights on reconciliation as a divine gift, the author analyzes classical Ignatian concepts alongside contemporary challenges. Ultimately, the essay proposes a reframed understanding of Ignatian reconciliation tailored for today’s mission, emphasizing three critical, interconnected dimensions: active cooperation with God, collaborative solidarity with others, and dedicated care for our common creation.
