Abstract

The recent appointment and August 28, 2019, inaugural address of Rev. Enrico C. Eusebio, Jr., S.J., as the 10 th President of the Loyola School of Theology marks a pivotal moment to celebrate the institution's achievements and map out its future direction. Enrolling 463 students in 2019, LST has actively expanded its outreach by establishing a Scholarship Fund for the Laity and Religious Sisters. With international students making up 40% of its population, the school has prioritized its Asian Theological Program, offering contextualized courses on interfaith dialogue, migration, and ecology to prepare individuals for mission work in Asia. Furthermore, LST leverages its proximity to Ateneo de Manila University institutions to offer interdisciplinary Doctor of Ministry programs. Ultimately, LST remains committed to aligning its pedagogy with Pope Francis’s Veritatis Gaudium, the Ratio Fundamentalis Institutionis Sacerdotalis (The Gift of Priestly Vocation), and the Universal Apostolic Preferences of the Society of Jesus.
