Abstract
James McTavish, F.M.V.D., critiques gender ideology for causing confusion among developing children, especially those experiencing gender dysphoria. He argues that disconnecting gender choice from biological sex exacerbates distress and encourages immoral behaviors, such as homosexual relationships, sex reassignment surgeries, and a laissez-faire sexual attitude. Emphasizing that gender-confused adolescents require clear guidance to navigate sexual maturation, McTavish aligns with Pope Francis’s teachings in Laudato Si’. The Pope asserts that valuing one's biological masculinity or femininity is essential for self-recognition, allowing individuals to joyfully accept and find mutual enrichment in God the Creator's diverse design.
