Abstract
This article examines how colonization and exploitative developmentalism have inflicted structural violence upon Asian indigenous communities, resulting in land displacement and severe environmental degradation. Raluto argues that the marginalization of indigenous peoples is profoundly linked to the destruction of their ancestral lands, which they hold as sacred. By analyzing these interrelated crises through an Asian lens, the author seeks to expand the scope of Catholic Social Teaching (CST). Ultimately, the paper calls for a theological shift that embraces an integral ecology, respects indigenous self-determination, and integrates their non-anthropocentric ecological wisdom into the Church's global social doctrine.
