Abstract
This article critically examines the moral, theological, and human rights crises emerging from the violent "War on Drugs" campaign. Writing from a contextual Philippine perspective, the authors challenge state-sanctioned violence and extrajudicial killings by framing opposition as an imperative Christian duty. Grounded in Catholic social teaching and liberation theology, the paper argues that the Church must reclaim its prophetic mission to voice the plight of the marginalized and actively resist systemic evil. Ultimately, it calls for a pastoral approach rooted in restorative justice, human dignity, and communal healing rather than punitive bloodshed.
