Abstract
In this address, Bishop Roberto C. Mallari situates Catholic education within the broader mission of the Church during the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy and the Philippine Church’s Year of the Eucharist and the Family. Reflecting on the enduring contribution of Catholic schools to evangelization, nation-building, and service to the marginalized, he reaffirms their indispensable role in transmitting the faith through catechesis and integral formation. While celebrating the achievements of Catholic education in the Philippines, he emphasizes that its highest purpose extends beyond academic excellence to fostering authentic encounters with Christ and forming future saints committed to God, the Church, and society.
