Abstract
In his opening address, Fr. Jose Ramon T. Villarin, S.J., welcomed His Eminence Giuseppe Cardinal Versaldi to the Ateneo de Manila University and expressed gratitude for his participation in the Loyola School of Theology’s Golden Jubilee symposium. He underscored the significance of the gathering for Catholic educators, theologians, students, and the Church in the Philippines. Fr. Villarin situated the symposium within the Ignatian mission of loving and serving God in all things, inviting participants to renew their vocation in the spirit of the Second Vatican Council. He expressed the hope that the conference would foster solidarity, inspiration, deeper formation, and faithful service.
