Abstract
Sa kuwentong itong nasa sipat ng isang beterinaryo, isinasalaysay ang pagbabago ng tauhang si Into mula sa pagiging mapayapang indibidwal tungo sa isang taong handang pumatay. Nakalunan sa isla ng Talim sa Rizal ang nasabing kuwento, at iinog sa asong si Puti na tanging kasama ni Into. Sa kuwento, ipinababatid din ang mga pagbabagong hatid ng industriyalisasyon at pangangamkam ng lupa, hindi lang sa tauhan, kundi pati sa kalikasang ginagalawan. Ito ang naging mitsa sa pagsasakatuparan ng paghahanap ng hustisyang hindi maibigay ng mga awtoridad sa kuwento.
English Abstract
Written from the perspective of a veterinary student apprenticing in the barrio, the story illustrates the character change of Into from being a peaceful individual into someone ready to kill. The narrative is set on the island of Talim in Rizal Province, and revolves around the dog called Puti, Into’s only companion. The story also reveals the changes brought about by industrialization and land grabbing, not only to the characters but also to the environment. These changes are what would incite the search for justice that cannot be served by the authorities in the story.
