About JMGS

The Journal of Management for Global Sustainability (JMGS) is an internationally peer-reviewed open access scholarly journal on management and global sustainability published semi-annually (June and December) by the John Gokongwei School of Management of the Ateneo de Manila University for the International Association of Jesuit Business Schools (IAJBS).

IAJBS, which began in the early 1990s, seeks to enhance the ability of business school deans and administrators to lead in the creation and transmission of scholarship and knowledge that will prepare the students for the profession and vocation of business leadership in a global economy. AdMU, which was founded by the Jesuit Order in 1859, is part of this network. The university publishes this journal in line with its mission to “uphold, preserve, and communicate truth and apply it to human development and the preservation of the Earth,” among others. The university launched the journal in June 2013.

JMGS welcomes submissions on theoretical studies and empirical work from all management disciplines (e.g. international business, accounting, marketing, finance, operations) and from related disciplines (e.g. economics, political science) so long as the manuscript contributes to our academic understanding of the role of management in achieving global sustainability. These papers and the Editorial are published in English, together with Spanish translations of the editorial and the paper abstracts.

The online version is available to all readers worldwide. Readers are free to download and share with others published materials from the JMGS website provided that the journal is properly cited as the original source and that the downloaded content is neither modified nor used commercially. For more details, please check the Editorial Policies page. Printed copies may be made available at minimal cost upon request. JMGS is listed in EBSCO, EconBib, Mir@bel and Julkaisoofoorumi (JUFO). Papers are usually published online within six months of acceptance. JMGS follows the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
