Abstract

This project developed a Succession Planning and Management (SPM) manual for Ateneo CORD to ensure a pipeline of successors for critical roles. Through five phases, including interviews, data analysis, and data feedback with CORD directors, the process to ensure the selection and preparation of successors has been created. Findings from the interviews with key stakeholders emphasized the need for a structured approach to the end-to-end succession planning and management process – from sourcing, developing, selecting, and managing the transition of successors. Final recommendations include integrating the manual into the HR framework of CORD, piloting the use of the manual in upcoming searches for critical roles, and embedding SPM practices into leadership routines to strengthen succession planning and management as a practice in CORD.
