Abstract

This chapter focuses on sources of resistance to change and presents a framework for managing change in Philippine organizations. Using the acronym CHANGES; the framework discusses the importance of communicating the case for change; have a change plan; align systems; structures; resources to support change; nurturing company culture to enable change; grow people's capacities to change; engage people in the change process; and support people through the transtition. The chapter also discusses the competencies of change leaders and documents an example of change leadership in action.
