Abstract
This piece performs/documents/enacts — prepositions with/through/from/within — its assigned term; preposition; or prepositional thinking. Engaged with from a writing practice (ie; the author’s) in/from a specific context tagged with several privileges and burdens (eg; Manila; the Philippines; Philippine literature; English; the middle class; private education; creative writing institutions); the assigned term is reckoned with through a catalog of ten entries that accumulative propose/improvise a central proposition: that creative writing is/should be carried out prepositionally; that the choices of what links nouns and verbs—that links writing and writer; writer and community; writing and all its vis-a-vis’s—are the heart of the matter for creative writing; central to writing and/as being; else a de-contextualized and thus hollow practice.
