Abstract
Excerpt: As this issue is being prepared, governments and authorities worldwide have restricted the mobilities of billions of people in vast swathes of the world in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The restrictions generated multiple chains of reactions, implicating nearly all facets of life at a sweeping scale. Remarkably, the lockdowns have shut down the engine of production and upended supply chains triggering a historic scale of income losses that, in turn, have opened the floodgates of global economic depression.
