Excerpt: This issue covers three communities of practice that crack a window of understanding on how the contingencies of the Global South are decolonizing and transforming their respective fields. Crucially, the contingent conditions and social forces driving the transformation of these fields are simultaneously breaking the modalities in these practices while remaining attuned to their universalizing values.
