Abstract

Excerpt: Articles in this issue examine underlying forces and factors implicating suicide among substance users, socio-economic inequity amid the expansion of the educated class in regional economic zones, and the shifts in everyday language of honorifics as spaces for commerce multiply. On the surface, these three enquiries are disjointed as they are disentangled, but a closer view of the underlying dynamics, tensions, and stressors invariably shaping these experiences illustrate the undercurrents of social transformation in a Global South setting.
