Abstract
FABC emphasizes triple dialogue with the poor, Asian cultures and religions, as a way to evangelize Asia. These dialogues can greatly contribute to the creation of a peaceful community in Asia. The Asian Peace Community is a project to create a new Asia, that hasn't been done yet. First, in order to develop effective pastoral activities within the church, the vast region operates in several small centers. Second, when Asian countries speak of a political, security and economic community, the church should refer to the human rights community. Human rights are the ultimate goal of peace. Therefore, we need to urge the enactment of an Asian human rights law that guarantees the right to peace. Third, the peace fund should be collected and used to minimize economic and social inequality in Asian countries. It should also urge Asian countries to reduce their armaments and use the reduced cost for the Asian Common Peace Fund. FABC leadership and the solidarity of churches for the formation of a peaceful community in Asia can be a model of cooperation for Asian countries. If so, FABC will represent Catholicism throughout Asia and will be able to serve as a strong advisor to the Asian community in the future. FABC has a mission to create another alternative peace community in Asia that is different from Europe. It is a task and a religious mission for the great historical transformation of Asian civilization.
